Color Genes
The black Labrador Retriever Color is determined primarily by 2 genes.
1. The first gene (B) decides pigment granules of how dense a black coat will be. When pigment granules are dense, the hair is black. When pigment granules are scarce, the vest will be chocolate. If this is the only gene involved, farmers are not only chocolate and black.
2. The second gene (E) made the difference. Determines if the pigments were been produced. Whatever the gene B, If a dog has the recessive E, there will be a little color. This will be a yellow labrador.
Variations in some number of other genes that fine details of color control.
The nose of a black labrador is your coat – black.
Blue, gray, gray and silver
